Scholarship Recipients

Georgeaniel Ceron-Cano was the recipient of the 2017 Dr. Rosemarie Rothe scholarship grant.  George is a 2017 graduate of Bisbee Public Schools.
George is very family minded and has sacrificed so much to help his family and be the first in his family to attend college.  George attended Boys State Leadership Conference as his school's sole delegate.
George spent his life between two countries.  Although George is a US Citizen, he traveled back and forth daily to Mexico to help provide care for his six younger siblings, taking care of the house, pets and if all done before 6:50 am, would catch the bus to school.  If not he would walk the six miles to make it on time.
George wants none other than to drink in knowledge and elevate himself beyond the humble stature of "three of me".  He wants to provide for his family and community in ways that run much deeper and broader than a paycheck.

We are proud to grant Bella this year's scholarship grant and thank her for her dedication to her community and desire to continue on her journey in helping others.  .
In Bella travels , she has also lent her assistance in other countries as well.  With her visits to Mexico, Honduras, Belize and Costa Rica, she sets a shining example for others to follow.
